The Seven Mosques, known locally as Sab'a Masajid, are a cluster of small historic mosques on the western side of Madinah, marking the area associated with the Battle of the Trench (Al-Khandaq), one of the notable events of early Islamic history. The site takes its name from the small mosques, though not all are of equal size or historic weight.
